SB RacingSept 2009 Goodwood Revival ----------------------
At this years Goodwood revival SB race Engineering prepared and maitained a 1963 Jaguar lightwieght E type, one of only 12 made by Jaguar and a 1959 Ferrari 246s Dino, one of only three! Our 246s Ferrari finished 3rd in its 1 hour race and the etype unfortunatly retired due to a head gasket failure.
July 2010 Britcar at Snetterton ---------------------
One of our 430 Challenge car owners received an invitation entry to the 4 hour Britcar race at Snetterton this year. The owner Paul Bailey and Pro driver Andy Schulz qualified well and delivered an amazing performance. The standard 430 CH finished 5th overall out of 32 cars, 1st in the invitation class.
Well done to the drivers and the SB team team for a impressive first endurance race result with the 430.
October 2010 Britcar at Donnington --------------------
October saw another good result for the SB team in the Donnington Britcar 3 hour night race. Mr Bailey was invited back to take part with his 430 Challenge car. The 430 had had some aero dynamic modifications prior to this race and was an ideal test for it. Mr Bailey managed to take 2 seconds off of his previous fastest lap at the circuit and was extremely pleased. Unfortunately the gearbox of the Ferrari decided it had had enough after the pre race testing and gave up. This saw a very early morning trip back to SB headquarters to get a spare gearbox kindly donated by another customer.
After the early morning transplant we were ready for qualifying, Andy (the pro driver) managed to put the car 6th on the grid!
Paul started the race and did very well to stay out of trouble, he took the car into the night stage and drove very well for his first night race. Andy finished the race and claimed another podium finish in class for the team.
